This Committee intends to encourage and promote tourism in the Region through fostering education and training to benefit the relative tourism stakeholders.

This service would be extended to persons, companies, groups and associations!

Region 10 is unique in that it is the only Region in the country with a dedicated tourism officer. This officer is attached to the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, but is based in Linden. The main areas of work include Product development, marketing, stakeholder engagement, and elevating the profile of tourism in the region .

The current Regional Tourism Officer is Ms. Odessa Burrowes

Region 10 Tourism Development Association

The Region Ten Tourism Development Association (RTTDA) is one of the oldest registered tourism associations in Region 10 and Guyana. They pioneered and supported the development of several staple tourism events within the region, including the Rockstone Fish Festival. With a focus on tourism development in the region, this groups’ main focus is historical tourism.

The current chair of the RTTDA is Ms. Trudy Scott
